To install follow the steps below (same steps as Remy Lebeau-answer) Step #1. Make a new package - Step #2. Select New package. Add the source files RealTimeMarquee.pas,SimpleHTML.pas Step #4. A)Compile and then install. On successful installation you will get this message. You can save the.dpk file. I have been asked by my team lead to thoroughly document the process of installing the DevExpress dpk package once I'm in Delphi 7. Now, since it has been a long time and believe it is through Component, Install component but I'm not sure.
I inherited a Delphi7 environment when I hired in here. So I may seem a little clueless. It has Indy (I assume Indy9) installed. I've also got a Delphi2010 installation with Indy10. In the D2010, we've solved an SSL/Indy problem; and I was able to diagnose & verify using the debugger, which was blithely tracing into the Indy source when necessary. In my D7/Indy9 environment, I've gotta assume the Indy stuff is running from a pre-compiled runtime library; the source is available, but the debugger will not trace into it. I'm not seeing any definitive help on how to uninstall/re-install Indy; or what I need to do to get the source visible to the debugger.
Maybe I'm just end-of-day brain-fried. Clueless in Seattle Lane Campbell NW Software.
