The following route path should be correct unless you changed it when installing The Sims 4 on your system. With that out of the way simply add the mod files into this folder and you’ll be good to go. One thing that is worth noting, however, is to make sure that your mods are the correct file types. The following file types are compatible:.package.ts4script.zip You should only have.zip files in the folder for older script mods that don’t use the ‘.ts4script’ extension above. To check whether a mod needs to be zipped or not, simply look inside and if it’s a.pyo file, keep it zipped. If not, let it free!

Well so long as they are.package files and you extracted or copied them using something like WinRar or Winzip etc if necessary and pasted/placed them in the folder C: Users InsertUsername Documents Electronic Arts The Sims 4 Mods then they should work just fine. If you'd downloaded them correctly but did so while playing the sims, simply save and then close your game completely, load the sims back up and they should work fine. If however you have downloaded things that would probably be considered script mods, those have to be handled differently. You need to download them, but then keep them as a zip file, extract/copy the zip file in it's entirety into the same place as above and again it should work.
Houses are again different, you need to copy/extract every file and place those into the folder marked C: Users InsertUsername Documents Electronic Arts The Sims 4 Tray Once there, you should then be able to go into your game, go into the gallery, find the house you have downloaded and then click the button on the bottom right of the house's page that says Bring Lot Into Neighbourhood and away you go. Does any of that help you at all? It's easier to help if we know what things specifically you are having trouble with. Modthesims Is where I go for mods. C: Users Tanker Documents Electronic Arts The Sims 4 Mods is where it is installed.
They are.package Do I need to take it out of the.package? Because I added the package file to the mod folder. Modthesims downloads are usually compressed when you download them. Are you sure the end of the file you're putting into the mods folder doesn't have.rar at the end of it? If it does, you have to use a program like one of the other ones someone mentioned or I use 7Zip to extract the.package files. Sorry, thread necromancy!
I'm also having problems with mods not working on the Digital Deluxe version. The game doesn't seem to even detect them (no pop-up, and when I go to the Settings area to view mods nothing shows). What I've checked/tried: - mods are in the correct location - mods are in the correct format - mod files haven't been corrupted - script mods checkbox ticked - deleted Resource.cfg - game is up to date - verified my game files and ran a repair - restarted computer - reinstalled game I'm not sure what else to try!:(. Are mods that end in.bpi,.blueprint, and.trayitem supposed to only go to tray folder rather than mods folder? I believe that is the difference because I just downloaded a house and the instructions said it belongs in the tray folder rather than the mods folder. However, now I get a popup when I go to manage worlds that says it isn't available in this mode. What mode is that?
So, it looks I got some stuff to figure out. If someone knows how to make my manage worlds work again please let me know as these individuals made some awesome houses that I want in my game.

Hello You need to be in build mode to place builds from the gallery into your neighbourhood. The files of homes that you download from other sites go into the tray folder not the mods folder. Im having the same problem i downloaded a sim and i did everything correctly i put it in the tray folder and extracted it but it still wont work it wont appear in the gallery i dont know what to do is it because i have cracked sims 4 and not the original game?
Do you guys get the random sims in the gallery when you start the game? Or is it just for cracked usersi deleted everything at the tray folder and the random sims is still in the gallery so now i suspect for cracked sims 4 theres another hidden tray folder. I have downloaded a few mods, I followed the instructions, i copied them and putted in the sims 4 mod folder.
When i started the game, appear that window with mods, but it doesn't work. I checked the game options to make sure the “Enable Custom Content and Mods” are ticked. I ticked it and i though it will work.
I exit the game, restart my pc, but nothing works.I want to know the problem and how i can solve it. Hello Check that you have also ticked the box to turn on script mods as well. It is on the screen under the ' enable custom content and mods' option setting. Thanks, but i can't make it work i also installed the mod manager.and nothing.what i do wrong? Another suggestions? Is it cc items or are they mods? If they are cc ifems, check to make sure that they arent sims 3 or 2 cc.
Try doing this. Move your mods folder to the desktop. Then start the game to generate a new mods folder.
Exit the game. Then put your mods/CC back into the newly generated mods folder and see if they appear then.
Having a new mods folder may help. Also try putting the cc into the mods folder without them being in sub folders and see if that helps. If the issues remain, try renaming the cc items so the names of them only contain letters and numbers, with no other characters. @rosemow i'm pretty sure are mods for sims4, i saw them in a video on yt.
But i'm gonna try this anyway.:. i saw some print-screens of sims 4 'game options' on the internet and doesn't look like my window with 'game options'. When i go to 'other' section, i just have 'online acces box' 'online notifications box' 'auto-reconnect box' 'share user data box', that thing with 'view mods' and under this, the 'script mods box ', 'privacy and cookies' and 'EA bla bla', just 5 boxes. What I saw in a tutorial was some other boxes(7-8 boxes), like ' enable custom content and mods' 'custom content allowed'. Why I don't have the similar menu? I need to be online? (anyway i can't go online, i don't know why):)))).it's sims like I don't have social life:)) but i want to make this thing work.:))).
